Hello, Podopheleus readers! And thank you, Podopheleus, for having me on your site!
I am Goddess Lycia, and if I were to really define how I see what I do, I would say that I am am a Multimedia Online Erotic Artist with a Focus on Femdom. But for the sake of simplicity, I am an Online Domme, and one of my areas of specialty is erotic hypnosis.
I have been a lifestyle kinkster since I was of age, and have a plethora or erotic interests. Professionally, I have been doing erotic hypnosis phone sessions and audio training files for about 20 years.
Three of my favorite topics are psychology, sexuality, and art. I feel fortunate and grateful to be able to make a living doing a variety of things that I love. I never stop experimenting and I never stop learning in this line of work.
1.For the uninitiated what is erotic hypnosis? And how does it work?
Erotic hypnosis is hypnotism which is sexual in nature. Hypnosis itself is basically a state of mind where a person is kind of zoned out or spaced out, and therefore highly suggestible (or at least more suggestible than usual).
With erotic hypnosis, traditional hypnotism techniques are used to bring a person into a place where the subconscious mind is more easily accessed, and the conscious mind is off guard.
For one-on-one sessions, a hypnotist often takes into account the personality type of their subject when choosing which technique to use. Many people do perfectly well with the common method of progressive relaxation. Others might be more easily hypnotized through a method which triggers their “fight or flight” response; something sudden, rapid, and demanding.
Whichever technique is used, once the subject is in a susceptible state of mind, suggestions are implanted by the hypnotist.
With erotic hypnosis, the induction process can combine elements of traditional hypnosis and sexuality. For example, using cleavage or painted toes for an eye fixation
technique, or using sexual seduction as a means to get the subject to submit more easily. After the induction process, the remainder of the session is also erotic in nature, but can include general suggestions for self-help and achievement of goals.
2.What can erotic hypnosis be used for? For example, can erotic hypnosis be used to intensify orgasms? Or to overcome sexual insecurities? Furthermore, manipulate, control or heal?
Yes, all of the above. Exactly everything you listed, and more.
I have often used erotic hypnosis to help free my subjects from their inhibitions. They get to completely let go and be a “weirdo pervert” who oinks and squeals if they want, and it’s okay. Or they can feel like the opposite gender, and experience their sexuality as a woman (almost all my clients are bio males, but some are transwomen in progress).
As a Femdom hypnotist who is into Goddess Worship, I have also used hypnosis to addict the subject to my control and being of service to me. Of course everything is consensual.
Hypnosis is an excellent tool for behavior modification and BDSM play. Essentially, it is consensual psychological manipulation, and takes slave training to the next level. With erotic

3.Do you need to be qualified to make erotic hypnosis audio files? If yes, what qualifications are needed?
You don’t need to be formally qualified- meaning it isn’t necessary to go through an accredited training program to get professionally certified. In order to be effective with erotic hypnosis, you do need to be equipped with knowledge about hypnotism in general, psychology, and sexuality. Have a basic understanding of power play in BDSM and RACK (Risk Aware Consensual Kink).
There are programs where you can pay to get certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, an NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) Practitioner, and even certified as an “Erotic Hypnotist,” I believe. But anyone can learn without taking these courses. Just read books on hypnosis, and practice with people you trust.
4.How did you get involved in erotic hypnosis? Has it always been an interest of yours?
The first time I was introduced to the concept of erotic hypnosis was through an online adult chatroom. I was browsing the BDSM and fetish chats, and there was a room called “Erotic Hypnosis.” I had an immediate, strong reaction, like… “WOW, that sounds HOT.”
So I hopped in the room and got to chatting and playing with people who were more experienced and developed in the area of psychological kink. I started as a subject (the one who gets hypnotized), and really enjoyed the feeling of just letting go.
I realized, also, that I could do erotic hypnosis. A lot of the inductions were similar to the meditation tapes my mother used to listen to when I was a kid. Luckily, I was correct: I could do erotic hypnosis. I had a knack for it, even before I studied it more in depth and became certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Master NLP Practitioner.
5.How does one get the best possible experience out of erotic hypnosis? And how can it be used as part of BDSM practices?
Because every individual is a different, it isn’t so easy to say exactly how one gets the best possible experience out of erotic hypnosis. Everyone is unique and has their own buttons, triggers, and quirks.
I think the best advice is to know yourself and what makes you tick. And then listen to files that focus on what you like, specifically. If you’re dealing with a hypnotist one-on-one, then let them know what you like and hope to achieve.
As far as the use of hypnosis in BDSM practices, I touched on that earlier with the bit about “hypnosis taking slave training to the next level.” Hypnosis can best be used in BDSM just like any other kink; if you have an established D/s dynamic, have established consent and trust, and all parties desire the same outcome… then hypnosis is just another tool.
When erotic hypnosis and BDSM are combined, it is common for a lot of “triggers” to be used. A trigger is a word or a phrase, a sound or an image, or even a sensation or scent that will cause the subject to feel or act in a certain way. I find trigger phrases and images to be very useful for both rewarding and correcting a submissive’s behavior.
6.What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of trying erotic hypnosis?
If you’re thinking about trying hypnosis for the first time, I would suggest checking out some files online, regarding topics that interest you. Audio and video files generally come with a description, and sometimes a sample.
Go in without any expectations. Hypnosis will not necessarily feel like you think it’s supposed to feel. You might think that you weren’t hypnotized at all, when indeed you were. You might have thought you fell asleep, but you were actually awake and simply unaware.
Understand that a hypnotist cannot make you do anything that is really against your moral code. We can encourage you to do something that you’re apprehensive about and guide you toward that, but if you don’t want to rob a bank because you are aware of the potential repercussions, then you won’t do it just because a hypnotist commands it.
The subject has to want what is being done to them, and that is definitely the factor that leads to the highest probability that the hypnosis will be effective.
Again, everyone is different. You might have to listen to a file once for it to take effect, or you might have to listen to it ten times before it starts to do something. Some people listen to the same training file every day, some once every couple weeks, and others rotate through five different ones at their whim. You might require weekly one-on-one sessions with a hypnotist. There is no “this one way works for everyone” type of answer.
All that being said, I have many people who have been buying my erotic hypnosis MP3s for many years, so apparently my style or technique is working on them. They might just be highly suggestible, or they might just like my voice. They might just be masturbating to a fantasy while in a relaxed state, or their sexuality might be profoundly changing at a deep level. The experience is different for everyone.
