Guest Blog: “What is Slubb?” By SafferMaster and Lady Petra Playground

How did you learn about Slubb?

Well we host a podcast called the Kinky Cocktail Hour. On the pod, we interview kinksters around the world in our effort to demystify kink and sexuality. We were interviewing Mistress Diana von Rigg from Birmingham about “Ball Busting”. We were having a lovely chat when she mentioned Slubb and when we inquired further, she gave us some great details about it.

One thing she said was, “Even flaccid men cum”, That got my attention so I did some research and found the company on twitter. I reached out to them and that started the conversation. After a couple of months, we became partners in the company, and Slubb USA was born.

You can hear the interview with Mistress Diana von Rigg here. https://www.buzzsprout.com/962578/10039667

What is Slubb Exactly?

Slubb is a male masturbator. It’s the most powerful tool of its kind. It was invented by Michael and Sandro Strobel, two German brothers who use power tools on their construction site everyday. The back story is that they were fooling around one day, holding the power tools up to their groins and Michael was particularly impressed with how the powerful vibration aroused him.

He went back to his workshop and fashioned the first crude Slubb out of materials he had. He attached it to a reciprocating saw, and tested the first prototype out on himself! He was naturally experiencing a little trepidation bringing a power tool to what he calls his “Best Part” and he discovered that he was pleasantly surprised by a gentle caressing of his penis that he experienced and to his even greater surprise, he climaxed quickly. he now had the formative idea to create a true male sex toy.

He spent the next 3 years doing two things. First, he sourced materials and hired a product design team to help him design the Slubb, and second, he researched power tools to find one that was quiet enough, powerful enough and light enough to function as a male masturbator.

The Slubb is a power tool called a multitool with a strap attachment that fits loosely around the penis. As the strat vibrates, it stimulates the penis and because it can generate vibrations up to 18,000 rpm (the Hitachi Wand tops out at 6,000 RPM.s) it has more than enough power to stimulate a man in a manner that men have never had before.

This is a brand-new opportunity for men in the bedroom.

How is it that Slubb causes an orgasm to occur?

Good question!  According to the 2015 journal article Normal Male Sexual Function by Alwaai et al, “Orgasm and ejaculation are two separate physiological processes that are sometimes difficult to distinguish. Orgasm is an intense transient peak sensation of intense pleasure creating an altered state of consciousness associated with reported physical changes. Antegrade ejaculation is a complex physiological process that is composed of two phases (emission and expulsion), and is influenced by intricate neurological and hormonal pathways.”

Another way to think about it is that In penis anatomy, there are broadly speaking, two sets of nerves, One set that lives near the base, which controls erection and the one set that lives hear the head of the penis, which controls ejaculation. In normal function, an erection is necessary to bring the nerves that control ejaculation to the surface. Those nerves live near the head of the penis, the glans) while the erection-oriented nerves live near the base.

Erection results from complex neurovascular mechanisms. Several central and peripheral neurological factors in addition to molecular, vascular, psychological and endocrinological factors are involved, and the balance between these factors is what eventually determines the functionality of the penis.

On the other hand, there is no standard definition of orgasm. Each specialty such as endocrinology or psychology examines this activity from each one’s perspective, making it difficult to reach a consensus on the definition. Orgasm is generally associated with ejaculation, although the two processes are physiologically different.  Ejaculation is a physiological process heavily controlled by the autonomic nervous system. It consists of two main phases: emission and expulsion.

With all that in mind, what the Slubb does is stimulate the erection nerves causing a powerful degree of engorgement of the penis when the stimulus is directed to the base of the penis, and then it stimulates the nerves near the Glans very directly that bring about an orgasm. By taking the Slubb up and down the penis, resting for a moment whenever it feels comfortable, the subject will, before too long, very likely have a powerful orgasm, even if they are unable to achieve an erection.

What about using Slubb with Erectile Dysfunction?

What is slubb

Erectile Dysfunction or ED is a very common problem. The most surprising thing is that it is not age related, even though the incidence seems to increase as men age. 40% of men suffer some form of ED at age 40, and the incidence goes up with age so 50% at age 50, 60% at age 60, 70% at age 70 and so on.

Erectile dysfunction, sometimes called “impotence”, is the inability to get and keep an erection firm enough for sex. Having erection trouble from time to time isn’t necessarily a cause for concern. If erectile dysfunction is an ongoing issue, however, it can cause stress, affect your self-confidence and contribute to relationship problems.

Problems getting or keeping an erection can also be a sign of an underlying health condition that needs treatment and a risk factor for heart disease. If you’re concerned about erectile dysfunction, talk to your doctor — even if you’re embarrassed. Sometimes, treating an underlying condition is enough to reverse erectile dysfunction.

In other cases, medications or other direct treatments might be needed. Male sexual arousal is a complex process that involves the brain, hormones, emotions, nerves, muscles and blood vessels. Erectile dysfunction can result from a problem with any of these.

Likewise, stress and mental health concerns can cause or worsen erectile dysfunction. Sometimes a combination of physical and psychological issues causes erectile dysfunction. For instance, a minor physical condition that slows your sexual response might cause anxiety about maintaining an erection. The resulting anxiety can lead to or worsen erectile dysfunction.

In many cases, erectile dysfunction is caused by something physical. Common causes include:

  • Heart disease
  • Clogged blood vessels (atherosclerosis)
  • High cholesterol
  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Obesity
  • Metabolic syndrome — a condition involving increased blood pressure, high insulin levels, body fat around the waist and high cholesterol
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Certain prescription medications
  • Tobacco use
  • Peyronie’s disease — development of scar tissue inside the penis
  • Alcoholism and other forms of substance abuse
  • Sleep disorders
  • Treatments for prostate cancer or enlarged prostate
  • Surgeries or injuries that affect the pelvic area or spinal cord
  • Low testosterone

At the same time, the brain plays a key role in triggering the series of physical events that cause an erection, starting with feelings of sexual excitement. A number of things can interfere with sexual feelings and cause or worsen erectile dysfunction. These include:

  • Depression, anxiety or other mental health conditions
  • Stress
  • Relationship problems due to stress, poor communication or other concerns

As you get older, erections might take longer to develop and might not be as firm. You might need more direct touch to your penis to get and keep an erection. Various risk factors can contribute to erectile dysfunction, including:

  • Medical conditions, particularly diabetes or heart conditions
  • Tobacco use, which restricts blood flow to veins and arteries, can — over time — cause chronic health conditions that lead to erectile dysfunction
  • Being overweight, especially if you’re obese
  • Certain medical treatments, such as prostate surgery or radiation treatment for cancer
  • Injuries, particularly if they damage the nerves or arteries that control erections
  • Medications, including antidepressants, antihistamines and medications to treat high blood pressure, pain or prostate conditions
  • Psychological conditions, such as stress, anxiety or depression
  • Drug and alcohol use, especially if you’re a long-term drug user or heavy drinker

Complications resulting from erectile dysfunction can include:

  • An unsatisfactory sex life
  • Stress or anxiety
  • Embarrassment or low self-esteem
  • Relationship problems
  • The inability to get your partner pregnant

It is because of these potential complications of ED that Slubb is such a valuable tool. The opportunity to have such a powerful vibrational tool to help a person overcome some aspect of their ED is almost too good to pass up. It’s not a cure, and with some of the medical treatments, such as Sildenafil Citrate that treat ED by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual activity, the Slubb is an excellent adjunct to enhance the erection.

When a couple is of a certain age, women being post-menopausal and men suffering from some form of ED, the Slubb is an excellent way to bring that hard erection back to the bedroom.

One aspect of ED that is interesting to examine is Ejaculation Dysfunction. This is not a well understood disorder and at present is considered untreatable. We have met several men who have been able to ejaculate with Slubb while being unable to achieve an erection. It is quite possible that Slubb might offer a solution here.

We are looking for physicians interested in studying Slubb as a tool to manage this disorder.

How does one control the power output?

As I mentioned the Slubb has the ability to go up to 18,000 RPM’s the range is 5,000- 18,000. There are essentially 6 levels on the switch. The operator controls the power with a simple thumb movement. It has been our experience that very few people find the need to or even have the desire to go beyond level 2 before they are orgasmic.

Mistress Diana von Rigg shared that only one person she had played with had gone as high as level 4. It’s a very powerful tool, which makes sense, because it is a power tool. On level 1 the sound is no more than the sound of the Hitachi wand.

How do you size Slubb?

This is another very good question. The strap should be loose over the erect penis. The reason why is that it’s the vibration of the strap that gives the 360 degree coverage. Because Slubb is such a powerful tool, if the strap is too tight, it is likely to cause abrasion, which nobody wants.

We suggest that you should both ensure that you can fit at least a finger between the strap and the penis. We also offer that for first time users, they should consider wearing a condom at first to protect the skin if they are unsure. You can see the Slubb fit in this short video

Is it wise to use lube?

Yes it is, and we recommend that one use a silicone based lube when using Slubb. The reason is that water based lube evaporates too quickly and so for lasting comfort, a silicone based lube is best. If the Slubb is used without lube, it can cause abrasions which brings all sex to a halt and nobody likes that.

Why should people consider it as a sex toy?

Its the case that men have never had a true vibrational experience with a toy that is made for the male anatomy. Playing alone with with a partner, Slubb is a great way to engage in the bedroom.

Imagine giving your partner the power to use Slubb on you the way she or he chooses. Imagine trying not to ejaculate while they turn the intensity up. Imagine being able to give your partner a brand new experience, a blow job while they are being Slubbed.

Imagine a couple playing with vibratos together, She holds the Slubb on you, while you hold the Hitachi on her. I could go on. Slubb offers us something new, something powerful, something designed for me and something irresistible to play with.

This is very exciting, any more thoughts about Slubb?

Slubb is a brand-new experience for men in the bedroom. Up until now, men have not had the opportunity to experience vibration in the manner that women have over the years. Like an insertable vibrator for women, men now have a 360 experience with vibration that is truly mind blowing. In addition to creating a fully engorged penis, that engorgement can carry over to the next experience.

More importantly, it can cause orgasm even in men who are challenged to have one. This is potentially a game changer because it might be the ultimate tool for those who have a certain form of ED as well, and with luck it may make an untreatable medical condition treatable. Slubb is brand new and it is now available in North America as well as on the Continent and in the UK.
